The Operations Manager at the Ibis Hotel in Jabbeke plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of the hotel.

**Guest Service and Satisfaction**:

  • Ensure all departments deliver consistently high standards of guest service;
  • Address and resolve guest complaints professionally and promptly;
  • Promote a culture of excellence in guest care.

**Operational Management**:

  • Oversee daily operations across all departments;
  • Conduct regular meetings with department heads to discuss operational matters and performance targets;
  • Implement and monitor standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and quality.

**Financial Management**:

  • Manage the hotel’s budget, monitor expenses, and implement cost-control measures;
  • Maximize profitability through efficient resource allocation and strategic planning;
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to develop strategies for increasing occupancy and revenue.

**Staff Management**:

  • Recruit, train, and evaluate hotel staff in coordination with the human resources department;
  • Provide leadership and support to department heads, fostering a positive work environment;
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback and coaching to staff.

**Quality Assurance**:

  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure the hotel’s facilities are maintained to high standards;
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations;
  • Monitor and improve operational processes to enhance guest satisfaction.

**Strategic Development**:

  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures;
  • Stay updated with industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge;

Skilles and Qualifications

  • Education:  A Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • Experience: Several years of experience in hospitality management, with a proven track record in managing hotel operations;
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in financial management and guest service enhancement.
